Tips for sending a large video without it getting compressed
- WhatsApp: pick Document instead of selecting the video/photo directly from your gallery — this skips WhatsApp’s automatic compression step.
- Zalo: sending through Zalo PC usually allows a higher limit than the mobile app; otherwise, compress to a lower quality first if the recipient only needs to preview it.
- Gmail: anything over 25 MB automatically becomes a Google Drive link — the recipient needs access to that link.
- Any app: if the video only needs to be watched, not archived, consider downloading at 720p instead of 1080p/4K — much smaller file, still perfectly watchable on a phone screen.
Why are downloads from this site sometimes large?
High-quality downloads (1080p, 4K) from YouTube or other platforms keep the platform’s original bitrate, so a longer video can easily be several hundred MB to a few GB. If you need to send it right away over WhatsApp or similar, consider picking a lower quality (720p) at download time — faster to download and easier to send.
