AllFreeDownload ("we", "the service") is a free tool that downloads public videos from platforms such as TikTok, Douyin, YouTube, Instagram and others. This page explains what data we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run and improve the service.
What we collect
When you resolve or download a link, our server records a small technical event: your IP address, the country derived from it, which platform the link belongs to, whether the request succeeded or failed, and how long it took.
We do NOT store the video URLs you paste, the video files themselves, your name, email, or any account information — the service has no user accounts.
Why we collect it
To produce aggregate statistics (how many downloads, from which countries, service health) so we can size servers, fix failing platforms, and understand where our visitors come from.
To protect the service against abuse, overload and fraud.
How long we keep it
Event logs, including IP addresses, are automatically and permanently deleted after 30 days. We do not keep raw IP addresses beyond that window.
Sharing and third parties
We do not sell, rent or share your data with third parties.
Country lookup from your IP is done on our own server using an offline database — your IP address is never sent to any outside geolocation service.
We do not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
Cookies
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Your browser may store a small preference locally (such as your chosen language); this stays on your device and is not used to track you.
How downloads work
For most platforms the video is fetched and streamed to your device; we act as a pass-through and do not keep a copy of the content you download.
Your rights
Because logs are anonymised over time and deleted after 30 days, we usually cannot link data back to an individual. If you believe we hold data about you and want it accessed or deleted, contact us and we will help where technically possible.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
